Christof Weitenberg

Christof Weitenberg was born in 1981 in Rhede in Westfalen. He received violin, piano and and music theory tuition at the music schools in Borken and Bocholt.

After matriculation he went to Saarbrücken in 2001 and studied composition at the Saar Conservatorium for Music with Professor Theo Brandmüller and physics at the University of Saarland. Studies in music theory occurred afterwards with Professor Jörg Nonnweiler. He is primarily concerned with writing for small chamber ensembles.
