Dafina S. Zeqiri
(* 1984 in Prishtina/Kosovo)

DAFINA ZEQIRI ( 01.04.1984 in Prishtina ) graduated in Composition Branch in class of Prof. Mendi Mengjiqi at the Art Faculty in Prishtina
( Kosovo). She took part in three edition of Festival of New Albanian Music, in 2002 even though non-competitor had estimated with encouragement diploma, whereas in 2003 she won a third prize and in 2005 had estimated with especial gratitude diploma. She took part in “TransforMusic” International Composeres Competition 2004 in Budapest. Also she took part in six edition of International Festival of New Music Scene of Prishtina, in three edicion of International Festival “DAM” in Prishtina, in Festival “New Albanian Music” 2006 in Tirana, represent Kosovo in concert “Composer Portrait” in Festival of New Composers 2007 in Tirana, in Concert for honour of Her Majestry Queen Elizabeth II Birthday , organised from British Embassy in Skopje, in C-A-L concert-Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen 2007 in Copenhagen, London and Ankara. Win for piano music for children for CD Project in Rome-Italy 2007, take part in “The Violin” concert in Wilton’s Music Hall, London 2008, win participation in “Franz Liszt Weimarer Meisterkurse” 2008-Germany.Participant in Concert “RECITAL DE PIANO Y FLAUTA” - Museo del Antiguo Palacio del Arzobispado in Mexico City and win the Third Prize in 4th Pre-Art Composers Competition 2008 in Switzerland. For exellent success in study the University of Prishtina in 2005/06 honoured with diploma “EMINENT STUDENT”. She works as Assistant of Harmony at Faculty of Art-Music of Prishtina.
She took part in workshops and masterclasses with Peter Sheppard Skaerved, Nigel Clarke, Thoma Simaku, Stefan Wirth, Eric Gaudibert and Steffen Schleiermacher.
Her works have been performed by Peter Sheppard Skaerved, Steffen Schleiermacher, Jean Jacques Balet, Anne Moreau, Anna Klett, Hege Waldeland, Victor Manuel Morales, Evangelina Reyes, Annina Woehrle, Beat Kermanschah, Lorenc Radovani, Marisa Hatibi, Arian Paço, Gëzim Belegu, Mialtin Zhezha, etc.
